Welcome

Since 1989 our Agency has been committed to developing quality programs that support children's healthy adjustment to foster care and adoption. Our various services are designed to meet the needs of California's changing child welfare system. We recognize that foster children have significant emotional, behavioral and educational needs.

As a community-based, non-profit organization operating in 19 Central and Northern CA Counties we recognize that our partnerships with county child welfare is critical. We want foster children to benefit fully from a family setting that supports either reunification with biological family members or the permanency of adoption with committed, caring parents.

Our Family Of Services Include:

FOSTER CARE
  • Certify & train professional foster parents that meet the county's placement needs.
  • Place foster children in nurturing, safe homes. These children often have severe emotional disturbances, AND benefit from placement with specially trained foster parents in lieu of a group home institution.
  • Place foster children in "Whole Family Foster Care"
  • Teenage foster children with their infants that are not in foster care
  • Closely support & monitor foster placements
  • Whenever possible, provide parenting skills training & parent mentoring to support reunification with biological family members
ADOPTIONS
  • Certify & train committed, caring adoptive parents
  • Transition existing placements from foster care to that of permanent adoption within the same certified family
  • Place adoptive children in nurturing adoptive homes
  • Closely support & monitor adoptive placements
  • In concert with county child welfare &/or state adoptions, prepare legal documents necessary to finalize adoptions
CLINICAL SOCIAL WORK
  • Clinical services delivered by fully licensed therapists, clinical psychologist, & psychiatrist to support placement stability
    • Psychological evaluations
    • Medication management
  • When warranted, conduct pre-placement assessments with children &/or families to determine ideal match
  • Carefully monitor children's school progress, ensure satisfactory school attendance, & support school-based interventions
  • Provide educational assessments that provide specific & individualized learning plans for children
  • Closely monitor & document therapeutic outcomes that support either family reunification or adoption
  • Assure that case-carrying social workers have the training & skills to incorporate clinical services in to each child's service plan
